Ciske de Rat Foundation Netherlands
Fundraising for Street Children projects in Colombia

Dutch Foundation Ciske de Rat has made a commitment to focus its fundraising efforts for 2012 on Colombian projects for Street Children, that are victims of drugs, prostitution and violence. The Ciske de Rat Foundation is named after a famous Dutch character in a book that was published in 1941. It is the story about a boy that is abused by his drunken mother, but with a bit of help he overcomes it all. The Foundation is sponsored by Emolife, the leading fundraising firm in The Netherlands, that works pro bono for the foundation. As an associate of Zevendael, Kees van Maren agreed with director Paul Akkermans to direct all fundraising income of the foundation to Colombian projects for the next year. Zevendael is also committed to sponsor the same projects as a spin-off of several investment ventures in Colombia.

We will soon specify with what local Colombian NGO’s the Ciske de Rat Foundation will be working on this.
